You Still Don’t Know My Name
by Sarah Hartvigsen Juncker and Louise Herrche Serup

An intimate photographic project that respectfully portrays migrant sex workers and potential human trafficking victims in Denmark. Sarah and Louise visited 152 sex clinics, capturing the everyday lives, longing, love, fear, and dreams of 35 participants. Through their stories and personal items, this project offers a rare glimpse into the lives of those we often talk about but seldom truly know.
With this award, Sarah and Louise were able to further develop this project into a roving exhibition and a photobook scheduled to be published in 2024.
“As many photojournalists know, doing big projects can be expensive in itself and afterwards, when it comes to actually publishing or exhibiting the project, usually the funds have run out. The biggest positive change in winning the ECCA Grant is that we have been able to realize our project way more easily and directly. It has been a relief knowing that we had the funds to realize the project in the way that we wanted to.”
