The Incubation Network, a collaborative initiative between The Circulate Initiative and SecondMuse, was launched in 2019 to transform waste management systems and foster circular economies across South and Southeast Asia. In 2021, with the support of the ECCA Family Foundation, the program expanded its focus to Thailand, working on-site to tackle local challenges and promote multi-stakeholder collaboration. This three-year effort significantly enhanced Thailand’s waste management ecosystem through innovative solutions and targeted support. 

As the project concludes, we are pleased to present this final report, which captures the journey of the partnership, including successes, challenges, and key lessons learned. Insights highlight the need for extended support for early-stage solutions, the importance of enhancing institutional capacity and public awareness of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the necessity of strengthening the enabling environment for both upstream and downstream solutions. 

Looking ahead, ECCA is committed to providing direct follow-on support to select ventures from this partnership, with the goal of securing additional institutional investments and further amplifying their impact on Thailand’s waste management and recycling landscape.
