In Thailand, grassroots arts and community spaces are shrinking due to limited funding, political sensitivities, and a lack of institutional support. Yet, creative expression is more vital than ever in amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, fostering dialogue on human rights, and addressing urgent social issues. Gab Fai plays a unique role by engaging youth, ethnic minorities, and vulnerable groups through participatory theater and media to confront challenges like gender inequality, trafficking, and environmental justice. For organizations like Gab Fai to thrive, they need stable governance, financial sustainability, and a long-term strategy to navigate these growing challenges.
Approach
With support from Change Fusion, Gab Fai will strengthen its internal systems to secure long-term sustainability. A series of learning workshops will bring experienced nonprofit leaders to share expertise on governance and financial management, helping Gab Fai build transparent decision-making and accountability structures. Hands-on support will guide the development of key policies, including financial reporting and compliance with nonprofit regulations. The team will also create a strategic roadmap for financial resilience, explore diverse funding models, and establish an impact measurement framework to track progress. Ongoing mentorship and follow-up will ensure these improvements are effectively implemented and maintained.
